Whether its the Yorkshire Dales, The North York Moors, the stunning Yorkshire coast, the Lake District or Scotland, work alongside John and share his passion for landscape photography. Melbourne Photographic Society
Bleary eyes and a wonderful landscape would be a better description for the 7 hearty members who left Melbourne whilst still dark and arrived back later in the day also in the dark after a magnificent days workshop in Wharfedale, led by professional landscape photographer John Potter.
Having the opportunity to photograph this wonderful countryside with the guidance and instruction was an experience which all of us will never forget. John's tuition was individualised and adapted to each members level of skill and experience.
Three different locations over almost 12 hours, in three different lighting conditions made for a perfect day. I'm sure we will all want to repeat the experience next year, make sure your'e available next time.

Marshal Payne - Melbourne Photographic Society Derbyshire
Hi John, Got home just in time for last orders, (splendid), at the local, having stopped for fish and chips in Otley, (not so splendid). Thank you John for your gentle, patient and reassuring guidance, and expertise. And most of all, Lord, thank you for a fantastic glimpse of your awesome nature. Looking forward to seeing you again, hopefully next year here at Melbourne, and another workshop, another place in the not too distant fututre.
Regards, Marshall.

Nigel Jessop - Dewsbury
I just wanted to say thank you for a very pleasant couple of days. I was still stiff two days later, but it was very rewarding, and I don't think I forgot anything!!! Thanks again Nigel.

Paula Jenkins - Cleckheaton
Hi John, I just wanted to say thanks for a great day on Monday. I only managed a quick peek at my pictures yesterday but was very pleased with what I saw. Can't wait to get started with Photoshop! I'm already planning my next excursion. Thanks again, Paula.

Carol Hampton - Nottingham
I wanted to say how much I enjoyed the day yesterday, I learnt a lot - fucussing the near ground, then turning off the Auto Focus, bracketing to get the best exposure, using ND filters and the polariser filter, and using a hood or standing to the side to prevent glare. Not to mention the tripod and spirit level, all in all a great help to me to improve my pictures.
I thought your exhibition was superb. I loved the locations you took us to. Thanks also for the book I have already enjoyed the super photos of the Dales.
Best Wishes Carol.

John,

A slightly belated note to say how much we enjoyed and benefited from our recent 2 day course. The weather and scenery was perfect in the Dales and York was fascinating on the Tuesday morning. Your tuition was great on both days and we have come home with a much better understanding of what we can do. We are also now proud owners of a reasonable tripod and Photoshop Elements 5. We are 'dabbling' with both and slowly improving. We hope your break in Northumberland was a success.

Thankyou again

Best Regards

Elaine & Terry Dudeney
