This image of Burnsall is being used by Yorkshire Life magazine for their March issue.

In this issue I have put together a six page illustrated article featuring landscape images from within the county, all taken in springtime. This image is of All Saints church, Hovingham. I stop off in Hovingham quite regularly and find the pasties very hard to resist from the bakery by the village ford!
As well as the bakery I can recommend McConnell THOMAS a wonderful eco store and deli which sells organic fair trade foods and a whole host of other things. www.mcconnellthomas.co.uk/
They now also stock some of my greeting cards.

This fantastic sunset was recorded last February 2009
from the cliff top in Whitby by St Mary's Church.
I was running a landscape workshop at the time and just could
not resist taking a couple of frames!!! Needles to say my clients were thrilled to
end an enjoyable day on such a high note.

This cover image is a view of the thatched cottage at Thornton Le Dale in North Yorkshire.
Taken in February 2009.
The magazine also features an illustrated article titled "A Winter's Tale" in which John reveals
the efforts he takes to achieve top quality landscape images in winter.

I created this image about 18 months ago whilst demonstrating low light photography to one of my evening class digital photography groups. Conditions were perfect, luckily! Heavy rain the day before meant that the river was higher than usual, and we arrived with just enough light still in the sky, and calm water.
The location is Lendal Bridge over the river Ouse in York.

A good month on the magazine front! I put together a six page illustrated feature on landscape photography in autumn in Yorkshire, and supplied a cover image.
The cover image is a view of Lake Gormire and the vale of York from Whitestone Cliff, along the Cleveland Way, on the western fringe of The North York Moors.

The cover image is a lovely view of Grange in Borrowdale, Cumbria, and the magazine also used several landscape images from the Lake District to illustrate an autumn feature.

We are a small holiday cottage business with cottages in and around Pickering and on the beautiful North Yorkshire Moors. Perfect locations for exploring the Moors, coast and the many historic properties for walkers and outdoor pursuit enthusiasts as well as, steam train enthusiasts, bird watchers or those just in search of peace and tranquillity. Most are four star rated but we also offer some very high specification properties that offer five star luxury. Almost all have en suite facilities and most have log fires perfect for winter breaks. Many cottages welcome pets.

Holiday Cottages Yorkshire
Are you fed up of trawling through uninspiring web sites trying to find quality self catering accommodation?
Well look no further. Holiday Homes in Yorkshire offer quality self catering holidays within the North York Moors, Coast and Yorkshire Dales. We aren't the biggest agency, but that's because we are picky and only list holiday homes that offer a high standard of accommodation.
