Light at the End of the Tunnel!

22/11/2017
Transient light over Stonethwaite as brooding clouds sweep across Borrowdale.
With two trips to Cumbria in October and then two trips to Scotland in November I've had a large number of stock shots to trawl through, and process. But at last I'm seeing light at the end of the tunnel.
The weather was good generally throughout the two months, and it was superb to return again to work in snow up in the Cairngorms. A highlight in October was scaling Castle Cragg. It may be Wainright's smallest fell, but for me after my knee operation in March it was a big deal and I was thrilled to get to the top especially as its one of my favourite hills. A torn cartilage in my left knee wrecked last winter and it was very frustrating not being able to work. On Castle Cragg I shared some amazing transient light over Stonethwaite with a couple who live in Cumbria so it was a double whammy. Just over a week ago I enjoyed exploring the Kinlochleven area and managed to make some lovely autumn images. I'm almost through sorting these new images and now on weather watch for my next trip. I have posted a small number of new images in both the Scotland and Cumbria Galleries, and in the "Recent Work" sections of this web site.
